Giving financially—especially above your normal tithe—seems impossible! But we also know that our God is bigger than our doubts and our checkbooks. We ask that you commit this challenge to Him and let Him show you how to do what we think to be too hard. Here are some ways to contribute to Onward that might be easier than you think! Check out this video, and scroll down for more ways to give!
DO A GARAGE SALE
Declutter your home and use the funds as an Onward contribution.
SKIP ONE RESTAURANT MEAL A WEEK
Take the money you would have spent on one restaurant meal, and give to Onward. You can even commit to drinking only water when you eat out. Just one person doing this can save $5 or more each week, and give almost $800 to Onward.
GIVE UP A HABIT
It may be tough, but it will be worth it! For example, giving up a daily latte could equal $2,400 toward Onward in the next three years.
CONTINUE A BILL PAYMENT
If you pay off a debt, take the payment amount and begin contributing it to Onward.
CONTRIBUTE YOUR TAX REFUND
Give all or a portion of your tax refund each year. If you have an old vehicle that’s not in use, you can even donate it and write the full value off to get an extra bump in your return!
INCREASE GIVING BY A DOLLAR EACH WEEK
Start by giving just one dollar the first week. Then give $2 the second week, $3 on the third week, etc. If you do this for three years, you will give $12,000!
